Nikola Radosavljević is the artist in residency at Homesession until the end of August 2022.
Nikola Radosavljević, born in 1991 in Užice, Serbia, graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade, Department of Applied Graphics, Graphics and Books Studio, in 2014. Completed his master’s studies at the same faculty, graphic department, field of printmaking, in 2015.
He received his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade, Department of Applied Arts and Design in 2020, on the topic of artists’ books and new media graphic practices. His works are included in numerous public and private collections worldwide.
He has won more than twenty different awards and recognitions in the field of drawing and graphics, including the Contribution Plaque, World Biennial of Drawing, Osten, Macedonia, 2017. Award of the World Triennial of Small Format Graphics for technological contribution and art domain, Urals, 2019. Purchase Award of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, Gallery of the Graphic Collective, Exhibition of Small Graphics, 2019. First prize of the International Biennial of Graphics in Skopje, DLUM Gallery, Macedonia, 2020. Diego Donati Award Finalist, Ada Donati Foundation, Italy, 2020. Representative of Serbia at the International Triennial of Graphics in Krakow, Poland, and the Triennial of Graphics in Yekaterinburg, 2020.
He has participated in more than one hundred and fifty collective exhibitions in the country and abroad (Netherlands, Germany, Argentina, China, Switzerland, Nepal, Macedonia, Hungary, USA, India, Greece, Mexico, Colombia, Bulgaria…).
His work refers to socio/geographical events that led us till this moment now, It strives to examine cultural and generational issues with their undiscovered background, observing actual moments as site-specific and time-space-related relations that connect us as individuals, or separates us completely.
