Artist-In-Residence Barcelona

homesession offers since 2007 an atypical artist-in-residence program, which consists in short-term residencies and a strong involvement within the local community.

homesession investigates the relation between artworks and their context: Invited-One-Day is a specific program developed in collaboration with spanish artists.

We aim at giving a support to the diffusion of emergent artists' works, through the webpage, the newsletter and social on-line & off-line networks.

Residency#6 Sebastian Christoffel

Sebastian Christoffel, 6th resident for homesession, comes from Berlin and is mainly a videoartist. He develops a very sincere work based on his own striking actor's talent in front of the camera. Those short videos compose a work in progress, whose title, "it's all there", is actually a way to insist on its functional yet unachieved structure. Playing with words, with his own body and face and with unexpected objects, Sebastian Christoffel manages to build a very particular artistic language, without any systematic ressources.

Sebastian Christoffel presented a video and a video installation at homesession during an event organized at the end of the residency.
