Origin and development of the project
The project is conceived as an open dialogue between a private place and the artistic creation: the place, a loft in Barcelona, is the center of this initiative, which consists in a cultural and artistic interchange between artists in residency, a network of arts creators, managers, curators and the owners of the flat who launched this project.
HOMESESSION is a permanent investigation on the relation between intimacy and the artistic process, from the artistic creation to the exhibition and the public diffusion:
- it focuses on this relation through diffusion, public events and exhibitions
- the project stands itself for this tension between the space inside and the public sphere as an artistic residency in a private flat
- it gives a special emphasis on the role of the context in the artistic production and encourages creation on-site
Our goals: we want to encourage creation in visual arts, video, performance and involve artists as well as other partners in a very exciting exchange, with a real diversity of cultural and artistic approaches

A residency program for emerging artists in Barcelona (Spain)
We propose an artistic residency in Barcelona, on a short period, for emerging artists. The residency is located in the center of Barcelona and takes place in a loft shared with its owners, offering the artist a unique opportunity to be accompanied during its stay and to nurture its creation through an interesting cultural experience. We want to offer to the artists the possibility to be deeply immersed in the local life.

Art in a private environment: artistic events in a flat
The name HOMESESSION refers to artistic events produced in a private place. It implies an approach of the event, that would take into consideration the specific characteristic of the place in which it's organised. During the artists residency, we contemplate the possibility to organise workshops and to support a four-hand artistic creation.
